CAIER's 12th Anniversary
Today is CAIER's 12th Anniversary - and they've really stood up for the environment over these years.
Twelve years ago today, the Central Asian Institute for Environmental Research was founded out of a commitment to the planet and with a new understanding of how companies should behave in times of climate change.
Now, CAIER, as we know it, under the vision of Aselle Tasmagambetova, has become one of the region's most important research institutes in environmental improvement - and a global referent in the fight against today's ecological crisis.
What we helped launch on June 28th, 2012, is now a respected institution, led by globally-renowned professionals.
CAIER is a member of the UN Global Compact, has created technology and patented processes, helped companies in Kazakhstan and Central Asia address their environmental commitment differently, and organized international expeditions to analyze how to save the Caspian seal population and the catastrophic situation in the Caspian Sea.
But above all, what we have done - what Aselle has done - is to redirect the dialogue on ecology and commitment to the planet in a way that matters in our own country and our market context.
We are very proud of what we have done over the years. From here, congratulations to everyone within the CAIER team and our recognition of the importance of your work. Happy Anniversary!
