Innovative Design Battle Hackathon for an effective mobile app for learning Kazakh
A few weeks ago, while speaking next to Sayasat Nurbek, Minister of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan, I said I would fund the team to develop and design an effective mobile app for learning Kazakh.
As a nation, we should use technology to reinforce our identity and traditions.
Today, I announce that we are already advancing in that direction. After having held conversations with the able minds at the International University of Information Technologies "MUIT", we have decided to launch a Design Battle Hackathon where creators, teams, and companies, including schoolchildren and students, will be invited to participate in the shared dream of building such an app.
The Saby Charitable Foundation will be at the center of that contest, and its President, my wife, Aselle Tasmagambetova, will preside over the jury that reaches the decision and finds a winner.
The competition's prize will be 2,000,000 Kazakh tenge (around 4,500 USD for those of you abroad).
Participants in the competition will be able to interact with mentors, participate in master classes, and present their projects at the awards ceremony. The most talented creators will receive a to work in the team of creators of the most technologically advanced application for Kazakh language learning.
Kazakhstan is a leader in Central Asia in the field of software development, and I am confident in the talent we have in the country as a young, dynamic, strong, and fast nation.
The reception of applications is open from February 19 to 23. More info here https://iitu.edu.kz/designbattle/ .
Good luck to those who will take part in the competition.
