Happy Nauryz.

Today, my family and I wish to send my best wishes to all who are celebrating Nauryz, in Kazakhstan and around the world.

On this New Year’s celebration, friends and family have the opportunity to come together and enjoy festivities with great zeal and joy.

Nauryz is a very important holiday for us Kazakhs, marking the beginning of a new year.

In fact, our appreciation for Nauryz is so strong that celebrations often last several days starting from 21st of March, the day of the spring equinox.

Its popularity is evident in Central Asia, Balkans, Caucasus, Black Sea, and parts of the Middle East, and takes its name from the Persian terms for Nau (New) Ryz (Day).

In 2010, UNESCO recognized Nauryz as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity.

Kazakhstan is a multi-ethnic country, and we can see the essence of diversity come alive during Nauryz.

As a businessperson managing a large staff from diverse backgrounds, ethnicities, and nationalities, we embrace the spirit of optimism, hope, and solidarity that are enshrined in Nauryz.

Writing in the landmark of Persian literature, Golistan, the 13th-century poet Saadi said, “Human Beings are members of a whole, In creation of one essence and soul.”

How poignant, and what a stunning reminder, that if we work together, hand in hand, we can make people everywhere more prosperous and better able to enjoy life.

Aselle and I send our wishes for a joyful, healthy, and prosperous New Year.
