When I saw my name Among Notable Alumni on Saïd Business School's Wikipedia Page.
Allow me to tell a personal story. I studied business at the Saïd Business School of the University of Oxford several years after completing university, around 2007. There, almost two decades ago, I earned a Diploma in Advanced Management, Business Administration, and Management.
I have always believed that my time at Oxford was one of the most significant personal, academic, and human experiences that shaped my career as an investor and entrepreneur.
Those lessons in life and humanity have served me well; imagine the memories, when, years later, we took companies public on the London Stock Exchange, and we developed key projects in the UK.
And imagine how thrilling it was to see this week that my name has been included as a notable alumnus on the Wikipedia entry for Saïd Business School...
If anything truly matters, it is education. Education is the long-term investment that matters the most when building a society. At Oxford, I learned to see beyond the immediate, to challenge the status quo, and to innovate within my sphere of influence.
And that is what I wish for Kazakhstan. I hope to contribute to the society that raised me, give back, uplift the next generation, and continue advocating for the critical role of education in achieving sustainable growth and genuine innovation.
This honor is not just a personal accolade but a call to action—to foster, mentor, and lead with integrity, just as I was led. I hope you will all accompany me in that.
