At byb capital, we have made our first investment: uVu, a new impact player in Kazakhstan's Transport Sector.

You may recall that a few months ago, Aselle and I launched a new venture capital fund, byb capital, to strengthen the startup space in Kazakhstan in a way that will impact our country and our market favorably.

After so much effort, I can now tell you that we have executed our first investment. The company we have chosen is uVu, a young and innovative company that provides efficient and reliable ride-sharing services for school students. Uvu utilizes advanced technologies to optimize routes and enhance the user experience, offering a convenient commuting service for work, school, and home.

byb capital investment will allow uVu to develop its services proposition and technology, increase its fleet of vehicles, improve its infrastructure, and improve its commuting services app within Kazakhstan and, hopefully, soon in other countries.

byb capital, run by our Managing Partner, the very able Askar Bilisbekov, has laid a solid foundation for uVu's development through a significant investment backed by a network of strategic partners that provide value in a number of critical areas.

In addition to byb capital, uVu is backed by several major investors and entities, including BigSky Capital, Most and Murat Abdrakhmanov as well as many others.

In years of running the Build Your Business competition from within the Saby Foundation, Aselle and I have identified a significant opportunity in the Kazakh market to fuel the growth of tech startups that innovate locally and have the potential to expand internationally. We aim to help nurture an ecosystem locally where good ideas flourish.

In the future, we aim to focus on critical sectors such as agriculture, logistics, natural resources, and energy security, emphasizing ESG principles, in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which we strongly support.

We applaud the team's initiative to invest in uVu and hope that many thousands of students will have an easier ride to school.

We promise to continue to systematically invest in these types of projects that add value and have the international capacity to generate impact.

The startup economy is not just a United States or European phenomenon but also thriving in Central Asia and Kazakhstan. We are developing a key and transparent investment model we have decided to lead.
