Borealis Foods Introduces Woodles® into Over 4,000 U.S. Schools, Advancing Healthy Nutrition for Children, and I am proud.
When we created Oxus Acquisition Corp. and later merged it with Borealis Inc., now quoted in Nasdaq, we did so because we believed in the company's human mission. We are happy to continue being shareholders of Borealis.
Now, just a few months later, Borealis Foods is rapidly becoming one of the most important companies in the food sector through its ability to innovate, its social consciousness, and its interest in ensuring that everyone, especially children, has access to affordable and nutritious foodᅳall at once.
So today, I'm very, very happy to share that Borealis Foods has launched a new program: the introduction of its Woodles products into around 4,000 school lunch programs in the USA, delivering nutritious, school-approved, and tasty meals for students.
Woodles features low-sodium, whole-grain-rich ingredients, and meets USDA guidelines.
Following Woodles' successful launch, the company still has a significant opportunity in the 90,000 K-12 schools in America.
Woodles, so to speak, is a revolution in school nutritionᅳa, demonstrating the genius of Dr. Reza Soltanzadeh, founder and CEO of Borealis Foods. The company has shown that combining taste, health, and sustainability in a product is possible.
With more than 90,000 K-12 schools in the US, the opportunities to continue growing and expanding this initiative are significant.
I am confident that Borealis's work and efforts will continue to lead the way in offering food solutions that benefit our children and the planet. The company's focus on sustainability and health proves to us that its commitment to impacting the world is honest and sincere.
Recently, precisely, a study piloted by the Nutrition & Metabolic Health Initiative at Texas Tech University demonstrated that a meal by Borealis Foods' Chef Woo's high-protein ramen noodles greatly diminishes caloric intake at the next meal. Dr. Nikhil Dhurandhar, a distinguished Chair of the Department of Nutritional Sciences at Texas Tech University, supervised the study.
According to its findings, high-protein Chef Woo Ramen comprises 320 calories and 20 grams of protein, while common protein ramen has 311 calories and 6 grams of protein.
Wow.
To the company's CEO, Reza, I say: "Your work is changing the food industry and making a difference in the lives of thousands of students. I look forward to seeing what the future holds for you and am proud to support your mission of promoting healthy and sustainable eating habits."
As I said a few months ago, we are in Borealis precisely because we think it can help solve real global issues. There is no greater responsibility than the one we have with the children of the future.
Many congratulations to the team at Borealis Foods for this achievement. I believe that many more will come. I continue to support the company from my position as a shareholder.
