StoreDot’s Fast-Charging Batteries for a Sustainable Future

StoreDot is a company that is in the business of developing a newer generation of batteries; ones that replace all lithium components for more efficient alternatives. It dreams of a world where electric vehicles can be charged in five minutes.

Just imagine what a game changer.

Among its strategic investors or partners are some of the behemoths of today's motor world: Daimler, VinFast, Volvo Cars, Polestar, Ola Electric, but also iconic corporations such as BP, Samsung and TDK.

The company, already in its Series D round, has proven that where future technologies meet solutions to make a better planet out of this, profitability and growth co-exist.

In 2019, it was able to charge a scooter in under five minutes. "We’re leading the most exciting vertical in the energy space today, introducing unimagined EV battery power that answers the missing element in the ecosystem," the company itself has written.

I entered the company in its very, very early-stage, when the project was little more than a startup, many years ago. Since then, I believe that the team lead by Doron Myersdorf, Meir Halberstam and Daniel Aronov are making more than most in the process of building a different tomorrow.

A vision of fast-charging batteries that could transform the electric vehicle industry.

But it is also a vision of how we understand venture capital should be and what mindset we investors need to follow to go beyond bubbles and babbles and drive real change and meaningful progress.

And all this because Forbes Kazakhstan just published this piece!
