If Anything Truly Matters, It Is Education

Many of you will agree if I say that education is the most valuable investment a nation can make. If anything truly matters, it is education.

One of the most famous Kazakh poets, Abai Qunanbaiuly, once said, "Only reason, science, willpower, and conscience can elevate a person." In my opinion, that applies to a whole nation.

My commitment to supporting education in Kazakhstan is not a secret. I consider it one of the most vital investments for our country's future.

Education is the foundation of our national development, and I am excited to see Kazakhstan becoming a hub for knowledge exchange. The academic partnerships between our institutions and leading universities overseas have been noticeable in recent years.

We are witnessing a transformation in the system. Kazakh universities are appearing on a global scale. The QS World University Rankings features 21 Kazakh universities, while Times Higher Education includes four, with Nazarbayev University making its debut.

Kazakhstan has risen as a regional leader in education (and not only), with institutions now ranking among the best in Central Asia. Kazakhstan is opening foreign university branches in this evolving landscape, with 19 partnerships from the UK, USA, France, Germany, China, etc.

Throughout my career, I have championed initiatives that support educational growth, focusing on building Kazakhstan's global academic reputation. Recall the Shoqan Walikhanov School and Zerde—buildings, where some of our nation's brightest are taking their first steps toward promising futures.

Hundreds of our graduates are already contributing to Kazakhstan's progress. Many of them have earned the prestigious 'Altyn Belgi' recognition, continue studies at top global universities, received grants from Nazarbayev University, or have been accepted to the world's top universities and have received my financial support for their tuition. When I invest in our young generation, I invest in Kazakhstan's future.

We are proud of Kazakhstan's young generation's accomplishments and are inspired by their determination to make a difference. With Saby's support, we've designed and built facilities like the Children's Home in Kyzylorda, a support center for orphanage graduates in Astana, and a school for 1,200 children in the Alatau district.

More is to be done yet.

Education is more than individual achievement; it's the foundation of a thriving society. I want to see more Kazakh names on lists of influential global figures.

Looking ahead, Kazakhstan has only to strengthen its role in the global education sphere. With the guidance of strong partnerships and our support, we are creating a future where these young minds can grow and realize their full potential.

It's our mission to help Kazakhstan's young generation succeed in every sector of life. Together, we should empower our children to reach new heights.
