I will mentor four outstanding Shoqan Walikhanov School students (or how we are coaching the Kazakh leaders of tomorrow)
There are investments whose performance is not measured in economic return. There are investments that should be calculated according to the return they can potentially have on our country, our culture, and future generations of Kazakhs.
In 2020, together with my wife, Aselle Tasmagambetova, we embarked on founding the Shoqan Walikhanov School, which these days educates more than 1300 students - and which is the fruit of her vision and relentless strength.
We wanted this school to be something new, based on a renewed education system, more global in its understanding, more holistic in its approach. Truly a school for future Kazakh global leaders.
One expression of our educational philosophy is our Mentorship Program, a program that Aselle and I hold in high regard. Each year, through a strict selection process, a very small group of pupils is chosen to be mentored and groomed as those leaders of tomorrow.
This year, four bright students - Sabyrzhan Arman, Nariman Dinara, Ospan Tomiris, and Asyl Aruzhan - will represent the best of their generation. They have been selected to be privately mentored by me and other Kazakh business and national leaders.
They have earned our trust and the unique opportunity to gain full grants to study top-tier global universities, international internships, personalized career guidance, my personal support, and that of my wife.
By choosing four exceptional young minds, we invest in their future and catalyze a change that will ripple throughout communities and beyond. These students, selected for their talent and potential, embody our aspirations for Kazakhstan's future.
Our ambition is for the Shoqan Walikhanov school system to expand nationwide, becoming one of the most significant legacies of Aselle and me in the years to come.
Above all, we hold the conviction that our nation's future is bright. Shokan Walikhanov, one of our most influential scholars, would have surely agreed with us.
